Dear Family & Friends,
As you may know, my sister Laurie passed away from Cancer in 1999. While she was alive, The Cancer Support Community was an organization that reached out and supported her during her trying time. For the past 22 years, in her memory and to support this great organization for all that they do, my family and I have taken part in their annual STEPS FOR HOPE Walk. A group of my friends and family usually walk with me every year.
For the event, you can walk or run the 1 or 3.7 mile course around beautiful Creve Coeur Lake. You can raise money and/or walk in support of this event. If you can’t make it, I would be grateful for your sponsorship of this event by sponsoring me. The date for the event is Saturday, May 1, 2021. If we raised $2,500 by April 19, we will have a team tent again like last year. Our team is walking at 11:00 a.m. so please arrive 30-60 minutes early to register, to check out some free food, to check out the “cool” raffle prizes, and to get a group picture. Join us for Cancer Support Community’s 23rd annual Steps for Hope, and inspire others to celebrate hope, honor loved ones and join in community on Saturday, May 1, 2021! This year, we will gather both virtually and in-person* at Creve Coeur Park to take Steps for Hope and extend support and compassion to those impacted by cancer in our community.
Walkers choose a 1 or 3.7 mile route either in-person at beautiful Creve Coeur Park or virtaully on their own wherever they choose!
*Steps For Hope event is designed to comply with local health guidelines regarding social distancing to make it safe and enjoyable for everyone. Staggered start times will be in place to meet gathering limits at the Walk starting at 9:00 A.M. at Creve Coeur Park.
Proceeds from the event stay in the St. Louis area and fund Cancer Support Community's programs, all of which are available at no charge to individuals impacted by cancer. When you take your own STEPS FOR HOPE you help share knowledge, community, and hope with individuals and families affected by cancer.
