The Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis was a very important organization to my parents. They were founding members of the St. Louis chapter and remained very involved throughout their lives. During these challenging times, people struggling with cancer often are in need of even greater support. CSC works to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
Each May, I look forward to celebrating my mom with her nearest and dearest at the Steps for Hope Walk. This year, the Steps for Hope Walk, will be on May 2nd at Creve Coeur Park!
Once again, I have organized Team Gracie, and I would love if you would walk with us in her honor. We invite you to "WALK WITH US" on May 2nd. You may join CSC STL at Creve Coeur Lake, or walk whereever you may be! (This will be the first year that I will actually be out of town for the event, but I will be walking in Boston (where we will be celebrating an art exhibit of Andy's!) For those of you who can join in any capacity, please snap a photo of you walking on Team Gracie and share with us!
Sign up as a participant and "walk with our team!" I have not set a fundraising goal, although any funds we raise would be wonderful.
My true motivation for participating in this event is to honor and celebrate my mom with each of you.
This year, as in all years, I’m also walking in honor of my Dad Bob, my Aunt Gail and my cousin, Lynne. I am also walking in honor of all family and friends touched by cancer.

Join us for Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' 28th annual Steps for Hope, and inspire others to celebrate hope, honor loved ones and join in community on Saturday, May 2, 2026! This year, we will gather at Creve Coeur Park to take Steps for Hope and extend support and compassion to those impacted by cancer in our community. Walkers and runners choose a 1 or 3.7 mile route at beautiful Creve Coeur Park! Proceeds from the event stay in the St. Louis area and fund Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' programs, all of which are available at no charge to anyone impacted by cancer.
