Dear Friends and Family:

We are looking forward to our Steps for Hope Walk on Sat, May 2 with the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis (Formerly the Wellness Community of St. Louis). I truly enjoy my board position at CSCSTL and am inspired by the work we do.That being said, providing support for people and families with cancer is vital to our community and has become something Matt and I feel very strongly about. Having lost both of my parents (Don and Sue Gallop) and Matt's mom (Barbara Coen) to cancer, we couldn't think of a more important effort to invest our time and resources. This year we are also remembering my uncle, Richard Steiner who passed away last year from stage 4 Leukemia. 

My mom's favorite time of the year was late April/early May, when she often had her "Tiptoe Through Her Tulips Party" and while we may not be witnessing the tulips on Glenview Road, I thought it woud be wonderful to "tiptoe" or walk for Steps for Hope.  Additionally, Barbara loved flowers and even spent countless hours working on her garden. As for my dad, well, he would love anyting that brought friends and family together. We could maybe even get in a "huddle" which was his favorite thing to do with his kids and grandkids.

I am putting together a team to honor Don and Sue Gallop and Barbara Coen and Richard Steiner, Team: Tiptoe through the Tulips 

We would love it if you would walk with us in their honor. We invite you to "WALK WITH US" on May 2nd.  Join us and all of CSCSTL at Creve Coeur Lake, or walk wherever you may be! For those of you who can join us in any capacity, please let us know what time you will be walking. If you would like to donate but can't be in St. Louis to walk that day - NO PROBLEM! Please take a picture of you walking in your hometown or wherever you are that weekend, we would love to see everyone's photos.

Sign up as a participant or you can simply donate and walk on your own. Any funds we raise will be well utilized by the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis.

This is such a fun and supportive event every year; everyone there is supporting each other.  I am excited for the opportunity to share this event with all of you. Looking forward to Tiptoeing Through The Tulips (or at least sort of...) with You!
