The Defying Duo will walk again this year to honor those we have lost and to support those who are walking their journey through cancer.
Mary, a two time cancer survivor, and her husband, Lynn, will walk the 1 mile trek. Lynn, at 85, is nine months post urinary cancer. His determination to walk is inspirational as he continues to maintain strength and resilience.
Stacie, a breast cancer survivor, and her husband Dave will do the long trek.
As survivors, we understand the need for support through the cancer journey. Many people do not have support and CSC offers programs and resources to anyone impacted by cancer free of charge.

Join us for Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' 28th annual Steps for Hope, and inspire others to celebrate hope, honor loved ones and join in community on Saturday, May 2, 2026! This year, we will gather at Creve Coeur Park to take Steps for Hope and extend support and compassion to those impacted by cancer in our community. Walkers and runners choose a 1 or 3.7 mile route at beautiful Creve Coeur Park! Proceeds from the event stay in the St. Louis area and fund Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' programs, all of which are available at no charge to anyone impacted by cancer.
