Hi Friends,

This will be our third year walking for Team Barb. She stayed with us long enough to make the walk in 2024. Her awesome spirit even touched people she had never met before that day. She was such a light in this world! These days so many conversations at the Y revolve around our memories of Barb. People speak of her kindness, strength, fighting spirit, energy and most of all her faith. The first time I heard the song “Live Like That,” by Sidewalk Prophets, back in 2012, all I could think of was that song had to be written about her. I still feel her presence when I’m there at the Y. We’ve hung up her cute little elf suit at our annual Christmas Party the last two years, and it makes everyone smile. We miss her, but have no doubt about where she is now, so that brings us joy.

We surpassed our fundraising goal the last 2 years and I know we can do it again! Thanks, everyone!
