This year marks my five‑year all‑clear as I graduated from oncology — a milestone that reminded me how esssential support is through every step of a cancer journey for everyone involved. This milestone is another good reason to help support Cancer Support Community as a board member for the upcoming Steps for Hope and the people who need the support and services right now.
As the largest professionally led non-profit network of cancer support worldwide, Cancer Support Community St. Louis provides a comprehensive program of social and emotional support and education designed to enhance the mind, body and spirit of people whose lives have been affected by cancer. All of our programs and services are provided at no charge to our participants so there's never a financial barrier for anyone who needs cancer support. I am proud to serve on the board of this organization to help raise awareness and money and support our mission that no one should have to face cancer alone.

Join us for Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' 28th annual Steps for Hope, and inspire others to celebrate hope, honor loved ones and join in community on Saturday, May 2, 2026! This year, we will gather at Creve Coeur Park to take Steps for Hope and extend support and compassion to those impacted by cancer in our community. Walkers and runners choose a 1 or 3.7 mile route at beautiful Creve Coeur Park! Proceeds from the event stay in the St. Louis area and fund Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis' programs, all of which are available at no charge to anyone impacted by cancer.
